Bome Network Pro question

I have Bome Network Pro installed on 2 PCs and on a mac mini M1 Monterrey. The PCs both display the name of the other PC between ‘VIRTUAL MIDI PORTS’ and "Connect to IP address’ with a CONNECT button. The mac mini doesn’t show that and it doesn’t appear in Bome Network on the PCs. What could be awry?

Hi,

Are all devices on the same network? If not you may need to set up some routing with your router and then use the connect to IP address function. If they are all on the same network, then they should self discover, however if they don’t, perhaps one of your firewalls is blocking UPD packets which are used for self discovery.

One PC is on 192.168.0.22, the other PC is at 192.168.0.24 and the mac is 192.168.0.40.
When connecting 192.168.0.22 to 192.168.0.40 it says “Cannot connect to. ‘192.168.0.40’. Make sure that the device has version 1.1 or later.” If I continue 192.168.0.40 appears in the Bome Network as Pending (off or not reachable). If I attempt to connect 192.168.0.24 to 192.168.0.40 (the mac) or 192.168.0.40 to 192.168.0.24 or if I attempt to connect 192.168.0.40 to 192.168.0.22 a different alert appears “This address/host belongs to the same subnet or is already registered!”

I set the mac to subnet mask 255.255.255.0 (like the PCs). Now the name of 1 of the PCs appears on the Bome Network on the mac, but when I click CONNECT it freezes on “Waiting (for remote acceptance).”

I bought Unlimited Named Ports and restarted the computers and they are all there now.

I’m glad you got is working. You should be on the latest version of Bome Network Pro for all of your computers. Based on what you said, it looks like they are all on the same network.
