# Copy and Paste not working BMT 1.9.2 Build 1090 on Mac 15.7.4

Can’t get copy and paste to work at all. Even copying a preset or translator to the clipboard and opening a new project, paste is not available.

Also can’t open more than 1 instance even after deselecting ‘allow only one instance’ in settings.

Nothing changes!

I was running the demo before buying BMT full, maybe some prefs carried over?

Okay, I had an app for clearing formatting from the clipboard, have now whitelisted (excluded) BMT and it seems to be working. App was - Pure Paste (From Mac App Store)

Still can’t open more than one instance though.

Hi and welcome to the Bome community!

I tested it with no issues either with right click or command c and command v.

If you need to open a separate instance, the best way to do that is within the terminal application with the below command.

open -n -a “Bome MIDI Translator Pro”

Tried the terminal command - looks like it opens a whole new instance of BMT.

Useful for easy copy and pasting, but was throwing errors about virtual outs, no big deal.

I’ll continue to investigate 🙂

Yes, primarily good for copying and pasting between projects. You can also run multiple projects but you would probably need to use different MIDI ports on each project, otherwise the two projects might interfere with eachother.
