Hi, I use several Mvave controllers, including the CHOCOLATE. What you want to do is completely possible in Windows. In the case of the Chocolate (version 1), if you connect it directly to your CPU via USB, it will recognize it as a MIDI device. If you connect it via Bluetooth, it is a bit more complicated. You will have to use a program that you can download from the Mvave website called ‘Bt Midi Connector’, which will recognize the CHOCOLATE as a MIDI device. You can also use the Mvave ‘MIDI B’ dongle, which will do this as well. This way, you can use the Bome Midi Translator Pro to map the MIDI commands and perform the actions you need.
I recommend that you use the CHOCOLATE in ‘Advanced Custom Mode’. In this mode, you can configure the footswitches individually with custom commands. I really like using the ‘Short Press / Long Press’ mode, because I can assign two different commands to each actuator, doubling my possibilities.
I recently posted a post here on the forum about me using a CHOCOLATE that receives commands via Alexa, check it out:
