Midi Translator Question

Is it possible to send a command to execute a file on a different PC on the same network?

Hi, thanks for your question!

Yes if your 2 PC's have a network MIDI connection such as Bome Network Pro or rtpMIDI, it is possible.   On the local computer you could send a MIDI message to your remote computer MIDI port. Then on your remote computer if you have Bome MIDI Translator running, you could it monitor for that incoming message and have an outgoing action to execute a file when receiving the desired incoming MIDI message (trigger). Note that if both computers are running MT Pro concurrently you would need 2 licenses, however if the sending computer is not using MT Pro, then 1 license (for the receiving computer) is sufficient.
