Using Translator Outgoing action to transmit a .syx dump

I have several large dumps captured and saved with Sendsx. Is there a way to re-transmit these dumps as a Translator outgoing action??

Hi,

For SendSX you can use a command line option /send “midifile.sys”

Unfortunately, I don’t think there is a command line option to select the MIDI port to use so I think you have to have SendSX already set up for the port prior to executing the command.

There is also an open source project on github called sendmidi, that might be more of what you would need. It allows for selection of MIDI ports etc.

The outgoing action in MT Pro would be to invoke sendsx or sendmidi it with the proper command line options in the outgoing action.

For smaller Sysex streams, of course you can just include them in the raw MIDI output of the translator.
