Akai APC mini with Ableton Live and Bome - LED feedback issue

hi there,

I have a problem regarding my setup (I use the Bome Midi Translator to get LED Feedback on my APC mini on routed buttons in Ableton Live).

I did this little workaround with Bome to swallow midi signals to get realtime LED feedback. I attached the patch I made below. Everything works fine, I can map buttons like clips, channel on/off, vst on/off etc. but when I map the record arm button of a track, it toggles when I press the button on my APC mini, but I don't get LED feedback displaying the state of the record arm button in Live.

I did research on this issue for the last few hours, tried so many different things, but nothing works. I would be so happy if you could give me any hint on what I can do, because this function is a major tool I use for my live performance.

Thanks in advance,

michel

Hi Michael,

I don't believe In MIDI Mapping mode that Ableton Live sends feedback when you press its buttons for Record Arm. At least note Live 9. It seems to send other mapped output feedback (like select). You might need to add a MIDI Remote Script for this function only. You could probably go to Remotify.io and have it create a very simple Ableton Live Script for you.

Of course if you use the existing APC-MINI MIDI remote script, it will work based on their mapping in that script which is probably not what you want.

Hi Steve,

Thank you so much for your quick response. Remotify was the perfect hint, now I got what I want. Funny, heard of remotify a few months ago, but marked it as unhelpful for me. But Remotify with Bome, great combo. Thanks so much!
