BandHelper integration SPD-SX

Hi forum,

I have just ordered my first Bomebox and have to use it in the following scenario, I would like input on whether it can be done.

The Bomebox must be connected to the band’s internal wifi, and connected to a Roland SPD-SX via midi.

At the other end of the stage, an iPad running Bandhelper is connected to the Boombox via the wifi connection. The iPad then sends and receives midi signals from the SPD-SX which are used to trigger lyrics, program changes, etc.

But can’t see if the Bomebox can handle CoreMidi that many iOS apps use?

The starting point is that the setup must run only with a pad and the connection to an iPad. Is there anything i should be aware of or is it straightforward?

Hi and welcome to the Bome community!

You may download Bome Network on your iPad and it will communicate with any application that supports core MIDI. Bome Network use for communicating with BomeBox is free. It is available on the App Store.

You may need to create a MIDI route on your iPad to direct your BandHelper MIDI port to the BomeBox main network port.

When you get it downloaded and establish a network connection, if you need help setting up from there, reach back out to us.
