BMT project running slower on BomeBox from a USB drive?

Does a BMT project run slower on the BomeBox when loaded from a USB drive? I’m using a USB drive so I can access variable storage in text files. Even when there is no need to access the variable storage, the project is not keeping up like it does from a computer.

Hi, I’ve not experienced this behavior. Especially, unlike most computers, there is less OS overhead on a BomeBox so it should be able to spend more time processing MIDI.

Also a project is not slower when run from a USB drive compared to BomeBox internal memory. Projects are fully loaded into memory before they are started.

However, accessing variable storage on the USB drive is probably slower than with the internal flash memory of a computer.

Maybe you can post the project file and so I can take a look.
