If the MIDI implementation of the pedal is USB class compliant then yes, you should be able to read the MIDI messages in Bome MIDI Translator pro through the USB port and translate them and pass them to Luna. As I understand, Luna uses the Mackie Control MCU protocol.
Now if the USB port on the pedal is not class compliant, you can use the MIDI DIN out instead if you run it through a quality DIN to USB interface. Don’t use a cheap interface as some of the cheap ones have a small buffer and drop some MIDI messages. I have tested the iConectivity mio (single cable) and it works fine. I understand the Roland UM1 works well also.
As far as I can read, you can also program your HOTONE so in some cases, MIDI translation would not be required. For those messages, you can just use the Bome MIDI Translator Pro MIDI router to pass through messages untouched.
You would set up Bome MIDI Translator Pro to read from the pedal and send to a virtual MIDI port. Then in Luna, you would read from the same virtual MIDI port instead of from the pedal directly.
