Bome midi translator offset by an octave?

I am seeing a weird thing where Bome Midi Translator is seeing midi notes offset by an octave compared to midi monitor and ableton. So what the others see as a A#2 BMTP sees as A#3 etc. how is this possible?

Hi, there is no note naming standard in MIDI so what some vendors might call note A#3 A#2.

If you want to use note names then you can define the note naming in Bome MIDI Translator Pro in the settings menu to define what note name middle C is. Personally that is why I try to stick with note numbers instead.

Thanx, should do the trick

Note numbers do not correspond either. Bome call it Note 58, midi monitor Note 46.

First I’ve heard of this. However I have heard some people getting confused of seeing hex instead of decimal. For instance 58 hex is 88 decimal.
