Bome MIDI Translator Pro Controlling Session Tempo in Logic Pro

I’ve been working with Mr. Bomers and Mr. Caldwell (thank you both!) on a unique use case trying to use Caedence and Bome MIDI Translator Pro to change the session tempo in Logic Pro. I believe we are hot on the trail!

The most recent project entitled ‘CC-Absolute-to-KeyStrokes2026-06-16’ (as of 6/16/26 at ~10:00 PM CDT) is not doing anything. However, the previous project (doubleclick-tempo) at least changed the BPM to 115.

Update- I was able to get this working (project attached)! If you ever need to change your Logic session tempo, this is a pretty solid solution. It also takes some maneuvering in Logic’s MIDI environment.

Many thanks again to Steve and Florian for the help!

Thanks for posting this!

A few comments:

Translator 0.1 will not do anything because the timer is never called.

However translator 0.0 will work and send a MIDI value based on the incoming CC and then incrementing it by 1.

There are no protections, however to stop it to going to 128 if the incoming value is 127. I would ad the following

if tt>127 then exit rules, skip outgoing action.

Thank you Steve! I will try this.
