I created a MTPro file yesterday and it worked fine. Properly saved the file and shut down. Today, MTPro does not open the project file.
Found this error - Error(007): cannot open project file C:\Users\Bob\Documents\Bome MIDI Translator\Presets\MC7 Control of XAIR.bmtp
This project file is not compatible with this version of MIDI Translator.
Please try to get an updated project file.
A few days ago I bought a license for a download. The version I am using is 1.9.1 Build 1064. I created it with this version.
Hi and welcome to the Bome community!
I’m sorry you are having trouble. Could you post, email or PM a copy of the project file. Note if you saved it with ‘export’, it will not work as export if for viewing only with a text editor or similar. You need to use ‘save’ instead.

It opens fine for me. Please verify the version you are opening it with. If you are double clicking the file to open it, maybe your system is trying to open it with the wrong version. Try using File->Open menu instead.
The error you are getting may mean that you have either an older version of MT Pro also installed or that maybe MT Classic.
If it still doesn’t open, try re-installing.

Steve, I uninstalled and reinstalled. Same problem. Can you export the file so I can use a viewer see what instructions are in there, because, of course, I am trying to recreate it and it is not working. What is weird is that I can open up the recreate file from this morning. Bob

You can view the content with a text editor, however I would not recommend that you try and edit the file. Rules in particular have a strange format within the .bmtp file and so changing them would probably not work. There is only one translator. Here is a copy I made that you can try. I didn’t edit it. I just changed the name with Save-As. I didn’t see anything unusual about it.

Success- I was able to open, close, open, save as, close and reopen successfully.
Very strange. Did you save it to a different path? Maybe you should check the the integrity of your hard disk.
