I’m using Stage Traxx 3 as a backing track player on an iPad
I have midi commands embedded and they automate Voicelive 3 presets for Key and scale
It also sends delay and reverb decay time on my Behringer Wing Rack
I’ve just bought a Mioxm and have set up Auracle X software to get the midi sending to the devices no problem
I also wanted to change presets in Apollo Console via RTP connected from Mioxm port to a belkin Ethernet adapter connected to my MacBook
Now I’ve got it working with Apples network midi but wanted to use Bome Network so it auto starts and connects
Do you want to use Bome Network instead of RTP MIDI?
The mioXM will only recognize RTP-MIDI over a network connection,
Bome Network only recognizes the Bome Network ( an deventually MIDI 2.0 network) protocol.
For a network connection to your mioXM, you would need to set up your Mac as a bridge between the connections by loading both Bome Network Pro and RTP-MIDI. For this you would need a Bome Network Pro license on your Mac. Then you could use an iAC port on your Mac to bridge the connections. The Bome Network Pro license for Mac and computers is good for 5 computers (excluding iPad)
Alternatively, I think the mioXM may have a USB device port which you could connect to a host USB port on your Mac but the length would be more restrictive. You would then set up the necessary routing of your mioXM using Auracle.
If you want your iPad, do also use Bome Network, you would need a 2 license Bome Network Pro license for your iPad. This woul need to be purchase on the App Store.
You could use Bome Network for your iPad and Mac and then use your Mac to bridge the connections to the mioXM (RTP-MIDI).
For your Apollo console (I believe this is software that runs on a Mac) you could add routing to from your iPad to your mioXM. Since the Mac would have both RTP-MIDI and Bome Network, again you would be using your Mac as a Bridge between the 2 network protocols.
In summary, your mioXM options would be RTP-MIDI or USB device port only while everything else could run Bome Network and your Mac would need to be a bridge between networks if you want a network connection to the mioXM. Hopefully in the future, iConnnectivity will develope a MIDI 2.0 network protocol for the mioXM and at some point, Bome Network will also include a MIDI 2.0 network protocol. I think, that the spec for the MIDI 2.0 network protocol was published a few months ago by the MIDI association and I think that both Microsoft and Apple are working on this for their supported platforms.
