Issue
We can confirm a problem for this specific use case:
- Bome Network 1.7.0 running on Windows
- Exposing Direct MIDI ports on Network MIDI 2.0
- BomeBox with firmware 1.6.1
In that case, the Direct MIDI ports are not visible/accessible on the BomeBox web config’s Network MIDI 2.0 page.
Other than that, the Direct MIDI ports exposed from the Windows computer are seen OK on MacOS and other platforms. Conversely, exposing Direct MIDI ports from BomeBox or computers are seen correctly everywhere, including the BomeBox.
Workarounds
- If that’s an option, you can move from Windows to macOS or Linux.
- You can look up the IP address and port number of the Direct Port on a different device (Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS). Then, in the BomeBox Web Config, go to Network MIDI 2.0 and use Connect to IP.
