BomeBox USB Host connection

I have 3 M-vave Chocolate connected to Bomebox USB host via powered hub.
Only 2 are working at one time.
Deactivating one working connection another can be activated.
What can I do?

Hi and welcome to the Bome community!

Sorry about your issue. It is possible that your controllers are not USB class compliant. To test this, you can hook them up to a Windows or Mac computer (without an special drivers loaded) and see if you have the same issue.

Also, once your controllers are hooked up to BomeBox, you can go to the Log page of your BomeBox to see if your controllers are recognized there. For instance, when plugging in my MIDIHub, I see this message:

814885266: Discovered MIDI INPUT : Midihub MH-3GJ90TN [1],Midihub MH-3GJ90TN [2],Midihub MH-3GJ90TN [3],Midihub MH-3GJ90TN [4]
814885266: Discovered MIDI OUTPUT: Midihub MH-3GJ90TN [1],Midihub MH-3GJ90TN [2],Midihub MH-3GJ90TN [3],Midihub MH-3GJ90TN [4]

The log shows all 3 discovered so maybe you don’t have he right MIDI routing.

Could you take a snapshot of:

  • The MIDI Ports Page
  • The MIDI Routing Page
  • The Translator Page

I suspect there is either a routing that is not set up or if you are running a project file, it may not be set up correctly to process all 3 devices.

Hello,
how can I send you a file (screenshots)?

Best regards

Open your browser and use the screenshot function of your computer to take them. Then paste them into your posting.

Hello,
I have tried some routing, but it did not work.
With the routing I got USB3 open, but I think there is a USB-MIDI (3) missing.
Here the screenshot without change.

It appears that your project file is controlling the routing/processing of MIDI messages. Could you share that please? My guess is that you need to change routing or port alias assignments in your project file and then upload it with the changes. I should be able to advise further when seeing your project file. All 3 devices are being seen by BomeBox as indicated in your first screenshot.

Hello,
you are right. it was the routing in the project file.
Thank you, everything is fine.

I’m glad you figured it out!
