Hi,
There is still this bug where opening my first project, Bmtp will be minimized. But opening any subsequent project will open the full window. I’m on Windows 10.

Hi @Jesse.B
I have not experience this. Could you show me a screen shot of your Start-Up settings? Are you just launching it by double clicking the Bome MIDI Translator Pro icon or some other way?
What build does your ‘about’ screen show?

Hi,
The version is 1.9.1 build 1057.
Initially, I am launching by double clicking the icon but then using Command Prompt to switch projects. Which is when it opens the full window. Here is a screen shot of the Start-Up settings and a short video showing the issue. Here I just select the second project with a right click on the Task Bar.
Uncheck ‘Start Minimized’

But I want it to start minimized. That’s the bug. First time it does start minimized, after that it, opening any project while BMTP is running will open in full window.
Cheers,
Ah then when you execute from the command line on the outgoing action use the /noshow command line option.
See page 116 of the manual.

Are you talking about a Command Prompt command line? Because that’s a workaround for a bug that shouldn’t be present.
Cheers,
Yes but it should be a simple workaround since you already are using the command line output in your project file. I’m also informing @FlorianBome of this.

Hi Jesse,
thanks for bringing this up.
In this case, it’s actually a feature. Launching from the command line (or clicking again on the icon) will show the MT Pro window, no matter what the ‘Start Minimized’ option is set to. The reasoning is that ‘Start Minimized’ is for the initial/first launch only, and there had been a number of users who failed to find MT Pro once it was minimized to the menu bar.
So the -noshow
command line option was added for your specific use case. I understand that the ‘start minimized’ option could be interpreted in a different way. But MT Pro’s behavior is by design, and it’s not a work-around to using the -noshow
parameter.
Or am I missing something?
No worries. But BMTP is a program that predominantly runs in the background. So not being able to switch between projects without it coming to front seems odd to me. But thanks for the workaround. I already fixed it with “Project Opened” and a couple of mouse clicks.
Cheers,
