I just bought a new iPad to replace a previous one that wasn’t connecting reliably. I am trying to restore a previous purchase (Unlimited Named Midi Ports), but the restore previous purchase arrow will not acitvate. How an I fix this please?
Sorry, I think I answered this in email instead of the forum. Restoring your purchase, would require that you use the same Apple ID as your other iPad.

I was able to restore Bome network in seconds flat. And without inputting any ID. Why am I not able to do the same with the add on. I have paid for this Andy I have a serial. Do I have to buy it again?
No, you may need to enter the user name and license code. They are paired and must be entered exactly.

I dont get any opportunity to enter any detail. Restore past purchases does nothing and there is nothing that opens up to input any detail. Do I have to buy this addon again?
Please go to settings within the tool on your iPad. Then to Unlimited Virtual ports. There you can enter the user name and password. That you can get from your account on the Bome website.
All I get is a not registered comment. Do I register from the web site?
My bad, yes you cannot enter an ID and password here. You should be able to restore previous purchase if using the same account on your new iPad as you were on the old iPad.
1. Verify Your Account:
- Make sure you’re signed in with the same account (Apple ID or Google Play account) that you used to make the purchase.
- If you have multiple accounts, try signing in with the correct one.
2. Check In-App Purchase Settings:
- On your device, ensure in-app purchases are allowed in the Settings.
3. Restart Your Device:
-
Restarting your device can refresh background processes and resolve temporary glitches.
4. Check Your Purchase History: -
Verify that you were actually charged for the purchase and that it’s in your purchase history.
5.* Reinstall the App: -
You can try reinstalling the app from your library.
If none of this works, get back to me. I may need to check with Florian to see if there is anything we can do.
Are you sure you purchased Unlimited Named MIDI ports on an iOS device or did you only purchase this on a computer? The licenses are different for iOS and computer and I didn’t think I’ve every helped you with this feature on iOS.

I think you are correct. I think I bought it without any understanding long before you helped with the initial system setup. It s PC only.
It is easiest to check you purchase history online because on your device, if you don’t know what year you purchased it, you have to look year by year.
How to see your purchase history online
Go to reportaproblem.apple.com.Sign in with your Apple Account and password to see a list of your purchases.
If you’re not sure what you were charged for but know the amount of the charge, search for the amount.
Learn what to do if you can’t find the item that you’re looking for or if you find unexpected charges.

Looks like I may have wasted my money on a replacement iPad. The new one just will not connect in the same way as the old one would not connect. I’m using a usb C to ethernet adapter plugged into the new iPad that that also has power going in. The other end is plugged into an ethernet port on the powered hub. Absolutely no connection whatsoever. In desperation, I plugged in the Bome Box and turned wifi on - bingo instant connection. There must be something missing from the chain. Every instance i looked up for iPad ethernet connection was exactly what I was doing. Any advice please?
I would need to see the network settings screen on your iPad. Does it have a fixed IP with the same network and network mask as your other devices?

I set it back to automatic when I switched back to wireless. I’m wondering if there are other settings on the pc I need to turn on such as net working in Bome Network.
Based on how your son set it up about a month ago, you should set up your new iPad Pro the same as you had your Large iPad Pro set up below:
All fixed IP
-
Surface Pro - 192.168.1.10 (as shown on the ss above)
-
Small iPad Pro - 192.168.1.20
-
Large iPad Pro - 192.168.1.30
If you want to use your old Large iPad Pro at the same time as the new iPad Pro, you could probably set it up as 192.168.1.40 (if it isn’t taken by anything else).
Netmask needs to be 255.255.255.0
