OK Steve,
I brushed up on my DOS knowledge and used cd and del to try to delete the files. Access still denied. Looked around on the internet and found a program called Unlocker. It did the trick. Even then, for some files it said it couldn’t find a handle for the file, but would try to delete the file on reboot. That did it.
I’ve now installed, but have a way to go in order to reconfigure the MIDI ports.

Glad you got it working Gabriel. Yes Windows can be a bear sometimes especially for programs that create read/only files.
