Hello,
I’m running into an issue with a very basic CC→CC translation.
Use case:
I’m trying to remap a single button on an Arturia KeyLab Essential 88 Mk3 (CC 23, ch 1 → CC 100, ch 1) while continuing to use Ableton Live 11’s built-in control surface script for all other knobs, faders, and buttons on the device.
I followed the online instructional video, creating pretty much the exact same translator device. (except for my different CC #’s)
Bome’s log clearly shows the translation occurring (CC 23 → CC 100).
Problem:
Outside of Bome, the translated CC never appears. I only see CC 23 when monitoring:
-
Snoize MIDI Monitor (standalone)
-
A Max for Live MIDI monitor device inside Ableton Live.
-
or when using Live’s MIDI Map Mode
Ableton tests
-
The Bome virtual output used for this translator is enabled for Track + Remote in Live’s MIDI settings
-
I tested both with the KeyLab control surface script enabled and fully disabled
-
Even with no control surface active, Live only receives CC 23
Any insight into what might prevent a CC→CC translation from reaching the virtual output—especially when used upstream of Ableton—would be appreciated.
Many thanks.
