Change the outgoing action to Note 13 from note 112

You can use the same local variables that include.

oo,pp,qq,rr,ss,tt,uu,vv,ww,xx

Local variables are not and cannot be shared across translators (unless the two translators have the same incoming trigger.

I try to use locals whenever I can and that is when the values do not need to be shared.

For global variables, I usually document them and set them at project start. See this tutorial.

it still does not work. Itā€™s even worse if I may say so.
The LED no longer works and my fader remains frozen (I remapped it in rekordbox)
I stick with your 1st idea

My translator is incorrectly configured, it must probably be missing one more line
I learned quite a bit thanks to you but that is completely beyond my knowledge.

So if you want Note 13 with the current value to go to your application and the LED to note 70 to go to your controller, you need 2 translators. One for output of each is this what you want?

Thank you very much, Iā€™ve been trying to resolve this problem by myself for 3 days in vain.

Now I still have to configure 2 SHIFT buttons, I hope itā€™s less complicated than the LEDs.

Hello Steve,

The shift button on the TOOGLE version (preset 7) works perfectly.
I have a problem with SHIFT HOLD (preset 8) in fact the toggle between QUANTIZE and SLIP works poorly.
Let me explain:

  • QUANTIZE works correctly since I donā€™t need to press SHIFT HOLD
  • I press SHIFT HOLD and SLIP it doesnā€™t work 1 time out of 3-4

Do you have a list of global variables that you are using and what they are used for?

Hard to tell what is going on here because you didnā€™t document them in one place. See this tutorial.

I suspect you may be using global variable ā€˜gfā€™ somewhere else in your project and it is interfering with the new functionality you are adding.

I suspect you will want o make the incoming action of 8.1 Note Off with velocity 0 instead of any velocity.

For me it seems to work just fine. You might want to check incoming box on the log window to see what caused it to trigger.

Hi Steve, I have something new regarding my problem with switching Quantize a Slip to the same button.

I opened a new project with the same settings.
I used another button (I used 3 different ones for my tests) to control the QUANTIZE or SLIP toggle.

It works. WEIRD

Is it possible that this button is faulty?
It works very well without Shift

Iā€™m not quite sure I understand what the problem is. Maybe you need to put a blocking translator for note of note 51 with outgoing action of none. It is possible that notes are slipping through the designated MIDI thru paths and feeding back to the controller causing strange behavior. Iā€™m not seeing anything wrong in they way it is behaving here but again I donā€™t have your controller or application hooked up.

I put a blocking translator here for when you release the slip/quantize button. But if your buttons are toggles on your controller, you will only see messages when you press them.
I really donā€™t know how your slip/quantize button behaves? Is it a toggle or momentary?

No problem, I changed the button and it works.
Iā€™m going to look in detail at my BMT mapping and try to put things in order.
