Hold the fort! bomebox?

Am I reading this right???

BomeBox can import Bome Midi Translator files and execute the program within itself without the Computer?

Really???

Any one care to testify? This is amazing if this is the case…

Bome Translator is already one of the best investments i ever made, this would completely blow my mind…

Yes, I run a 4 keyboard rig entirely with BomeBox and its loaded project file without an attached computer. It’s been a while though since my life is so full with other activities as well. I bough my BomeBox back in 2015 or 2016. Very nice!

I cant tell you how i feel right now, 2015? im usually aware of certain technical news and gear , i cant believe i over looked this… Bome MT was always a hot software to me , but i cant believe i didn’t look further into the other products… SMH same on me… gotta get one or two…

*Question can i use one for my Roland Fantom back onto its self or do I need two to do that?

You can create a loopback type of project on one and have it send back to itself. Typically multiple BomeBoxes are required in situations where you want to have MIDI drops for different functionality or at longer distances apart.

For instance

  • Each stage area has different drop for different musicians
  • One to handle light show another to handle music lines, another to handle slide show
  • One for FOH and one for stage

I just checked. It was 2017 so I was off by a few years.

You are not so far behind.
