How can I convert the Bome MIDI Pro time stamp to a human-readable form

Could someone please help me interpret the time stamps when you click the “time stamped” box in the Log Window?

Is there some way in a rule to log a human readable time stamp? ie date, hours, minutes, seconds. I just want to log when I see an error condition to facilitate troubleshooting.

Thanks.

Richard.

Hi,

Bome MIDI Translator timestamps are just milliseconds relative to the time it starts. There is no concept of “clock” time. For instance in the below example, the first message is displayed 5897 milliseconds after MT Pro starts. Then I open my nanoKONTROL2 and start turning the knob. Milliseconds are just counting up from there. That is about the best you are going to get for now unless you have something that reads and interprets MTC (Midi Timing Clock) signals from an external source.

Thanks Steve for the reply… Could I suggest you consider as a feature requested, a variable you can use in the log command to insert the date / time into logged messages. It would be more useful for me at the moment than interpreting MTC.

Thanks for considering.

R.

I will pass the feature request along for you.
