How do i do this? (Creating multiple Layers for knobs APC40 MKII)

MyDmx 3.0 and apc40 midi mapping - YouTube

If you go 52 seconds into the video you’ll see he uses the buttons to access the encoders. I tried the owner of the video however still no response i was hoping that someone tried this or there’s a video/template on how to do this.

Hi,
Please find the following example. I only did 2 layers instead of 9 and it took about 1 1/2 hours.

The First preset (0) handles initialization of variables and the APC-40
Preset 1 handles management of the other remaining preset for all 8 knobs.
As we deactivate a preset we store current layer values into layer global variable values
As we activate a preset we recall the layer global variables into the current layer global variable and then refresh the knob LED’s.

You will need to look at the rules to see what is happening.

In this example we only receive and send from the APC40 but with additional translators that can change.

For more information about device selection, see this tutorial.

Here is how my aliases are set up.

This is done to make changing of actual device port names more flexible.

You can learn more about aliases from this tutorial.

I hope you now understand and have an appreciation for how much time such complex requirements take and also the power and flexibility of Bome MIDI Translator Pro.
