How to have keystroke held down until note off

Hi, I’m new here and have been searching the past few day but cannot seem to figure out how to do this. I’m trying to bind my MIDI keyboard to my PC’s keyboard and would like the key to register until I stop pressing the key.

for example, I bind a key to the key stroke M. I want M to stay pressed until I remove my finger from it.
I’d really appreciate any help. I have been at this for hours trying to figure this program out.

So I figured out how to have the key held down, but I cannot figure out how to have the Note Off terminate the action.

Please find the attached example. There are two translators, one that handles key down and the other that handles key up. I did not set note-repeat on key down for output but there is a checkbox option for that if you want.
