How to use Keystroke Shortcuts when Bome Midi Translator is not in focus?

Hello dear community,

today I’ve purchased Bome Midi Translator Pro in the hope of controlling my ableton set template on the fly with key combinations like 1+2+3 (123) is jump to track “X”. When adding a translator entry and checking the log in BMT it works as expected, shortcut registered and Midi CC sent.
Problem being once I change focus to ableton to actually use the functionality the keystrokes/shortcuts are not being registered anymore and no output happens (according to the BMT log).

I’m on MacOS (M4 Pro) v. Sequoia 15.5.

Is anyone aware of a workaround or sensible solution? I mainly want to use it for track/template navigation since it is so giant and I can’t scroll half way cross the planet to reach the right track during a live performance.

Thanks in advance and have a wonderful weel y’all!

Greetings

Ceus

Hi and welcome to the Bome community!

Shortcuts generally need the modifier keys Command, Shift and Alt. Try using physical keys instead as shown in the attached example.
