Hi, Hope it is not a dumb question: I understand that in some (earlier?) versions of BMT it was possible to associate a BMT file with say, a particular Ableton project. I can find nothing in settings. Is this possible - i.e. that a specific Bome file will automatically launch when a specific file eg in Ableton. Logic Pro etc is started?
Hi,
In order to do this you would need something within Ableton Live to call up a Bome MIDI Translator Pro command line that is invoked when Ableton Live is launched. I’m not sure if Ableton Live supports launching external programs with command line options. You would need to check with them.
Alternatively you could have a Bome MIDI Translator Pro project file open Ableton Live when your Bome MIDI Translator Pro project launches. I’m not sure of the command line options Ableton Live supports but the outgoing action would be to execute a given program with the specified command line options for that program.
You can find this information on page 69 of the Bome MIDI Translator user manual.
If Ableton Live supports launching applications using command line options, then Bome MIDI Translator pro supports the options as indicated in page 116 of the manual.
Besides the link I provided above, the manual is available within Bome MIDI Translator Pro by going to the help menu or pressing F1 at which time the manual will open up as a pdf document.
