Is it possible to arrange MC transport from Avid either directly or via “Eucontrol” with Bome
i can´t see it as a “midi in” on Bome
is there a workaround …?
Hi Eucon is a network protocol that MT Pro or BomeBox does not support (you didn't mention which product). However MC (Mackie MCU) can be supported through translation since the transport is USB or MIDI DIN.
If I remember, however, if you are using Pro-tools, I believe it only supports Mackie HUI which also uses USB or MIDI DIN transport. I've integrated several non Mackie HUI controllers with Pro Tools. Although doing this as a full project is beyond the scope for free support here. You can search on the forum and see if there are some examples as I think I've provided them here. Are you using Pro Tools? Search for HUI if you want to see some examples or be a bit more specific on what you are trying to accomplish and perhaps I can assist.
What type of MIDI controller do you have that you are trying to integrate? Are you looking for Mackie HUI emulation? Are you connected via USB or MIDI DIN? Are you trying to integrate with Pro Tools? If you want to connect with network, would it be acceptable to use either rtpMIDI or Bome Network? Since these both expose MIDI ports as USB (software like), we could probably integrate using one of them.
