Midi control sounds

I am using Mackie Control on a controller in Cubase, and when I use the next and prev buttons and some others, I also get an associated tone sound. They are on an octave higher than standard keyboard. Was wondering what might be going on…

Hi,
You probably have your Mackie controller set up to send to a track as well as a control surface. Make sure input from your Mackie controller is turned of for tracks.

here is the guitar for Cubase/MC. I don’t see where to adjust that …
What do you see…?

Hi,

Go to your mixer view then the each track and make sure your MIDI inputs are set to None, In this example, track name Bass it is set to All MIDI Inputs. Click Not selected instead.

You wll need to do this for all tracks in your project or if you are using an external MIDI input source for that track, set it up to only that source.
