Midi Note to repeated keystroke

Hi All,
I need some help in BMT Pro.
I would like to send midi note to shortcut continuously.

Thanks in advance

Hi and welcome back!

  • The attached example should work
  • The first translator starts a repeating timer when note 64 is pushed at 100ms intervals
  • The second translator kills the repeating timer when note 64 is released
  • The third translator sends a keystroke “a” at the interval set up in the first translator
  • The keystroke is sent to the current application in focus. By default, outgoing keystrokes are suppressed when MT Pro is in focus.

Works! Thank you Steve!

Only one question, and i promise to learn the manual.
How can i add multiple translators like this for more button?
I use it for zooming “-”, but i need also an other one for “+’”

Hi,

Duplicate the 3 translators. Give each set of translators a different incoming trigger, timer name and outgoing keystroke.

Of course you for some keys on your keyboard, the operating system might just handle the repeat for you. In this case a note-on would generate the keystroke (down only) and a note-off would generate the keystroke (up only) and the operating system itself would handle the repeat. This is typical for printable characters.
