Hi I cannot see any of the images attached. It shows a blank screen…
I would like to know how to setup a fader (on my Midimix) to control something in ableton. I use Bome Classic + rtpMIDI (with 2 connected ‘sessions’), but Ableton’s key mapping mode doesn’t receive the signal. I do not understand to what settings I have to configure Ableton’s MIDI, input and output ports
Since this is a different topic than the original posting I moved it to a new topic.
Bome MIDI Translator Classic does not have virtual MIDI ports so you would have to use something like loopBE or loopMIDI if you want to talk MIDI to Ableton Live. Also there are no concepts of rules or MIDI routing so the translators must be simpler.
Here is a comparison of what you can do with each.
For keystrokes, you need to be sure that Ableton Live has focus before sending them.
Bome MIDI Translator Pro has the ability to focus a given application before sending a keystroke.
Maybe if you can tell me what your MidiMix is sending and what you want Ableton Live to receive. I could help you further.
You can also try Bome MIDI Translator Pro. You can download a trial copy of Bome MIDI Translator Pro here.
It is fully functional but the trial copy will time out every 20 minutes which requires a restart.

What I would like to do is assigning the pots/faders on my MIDImix to mappable parameters in Ableton. In my case VST plugins. I already know how to do that without Bome, but this time I prefer to use Bome so that I can setup multiple Presets, so I can switch fast between multiple VST plugins to modify different instruments on the go in one project.
I didn’t use LoopMIDI but rather rtpMIDI as a virtual MIDI port. Is that ok? I basically followed this tutorialhere.
However, it didn’t work. So it’s either that I don’t know what to assign for the settings for MIDI, input and output ports in Abl.eton or I don’t know how to properly setup a Translator in Bome Classic for faders/sliders. However, I also watched this tutorialhere.
And I have pretty much the same setup as this person for what I can see, unfortunately he doesn’t elaborate on other settings (either in Abl. or Bome) that I’m probably overlooking.
I tried to use BMT Pro too, but ithe interface is more complex. If I can achieve my idea with Classic, I’d love to figure it out and put it to practice, considering purchasing Pro once I get the basics with Classic.
