Midi Translator Pro virtual port cannot be opened - Undefined external error W10 Home 21H1

I intend to use Midi translator to connect Hamichord organ’s midi output to Hauptwerk virtual organ that way I can select organs and organ presets by hitting the Hamichord preset keys on both manual.
Unfortunately, none of my virtual instrument and DAW can recognize the Translator’s virtual output.
All of the shows “undefined external error code 1”
I have another computer (running also W10 Home system) built into my Hammond organ which I midified, and on this system the Translator works perfectly.
Can you suggest me what shall I do?

Hi, Welcome to the Bome Community!

This error is primarily because Windows does not allow simultaneous use of a given MIDI port, so please make sure no other MIDI enabled applications have this port open. Some applications take it upon itself to open any new ports found unless you uncheck them.

Thanks, Steve!
I’ve found out that Copperlan virtual midi cable caused the problem.
Uninstalled it, and installed SpringBeats Midi and everything is OK!

Ah yes, I ran into this back in 2015. Copperlan insists on taking over all MIDI ports. I had to de-install it also.
