I am moving to a Mac. Am still a newbie, but so far, so good. I read that Bome projects created on PC translate to Mac. My Pc setup did not include any mouse movements etc, and primarily just dealt with translating MIDI information. I am, of course, oversimplifying.
My question is whether I should be using includedcBome virtual ports, Unlimited Named Ports addon or internal Mac virtual MIDI Ports? Bravo to Apple! I will use 8 ports IN/OUT.
Also is there a tutorial covering things to watch for when porting the project between the two systems?
The simple solution if you are using less than 10 virtual ports is to use Bome MIDI Translator Virtual ports.
If you go over 9, then I would get Bome Unlimited Named MIDI ports (which is an add-on to Bome Network) because it has more advanced routing features and is more effecient then IAC bus ports. They also allow you to use your own names which you cannot do with Bome MIDI Translator Pro MIDI ports.
