I’ve seen a couple posts about the Korg NanoKontrol 2 on this forum, so I was looking at this already but it was not quite what I am trying to do. I’d like to know if my use case would be possible to solve with Bome.
I assume yes as it seems Bome can do everything, I am just not sure where to start.
I have downloaded the trial only for now. Im on Mac.
I want to use the nanokontrol 2 to control more than 8 tracks. 16 tracks, maybe more. so i want to switch banks so to say.
Ideally i want to use the track back and forward buttons on the nanokontrol to switch between tracks 1-8 to 9-16 etc.
I want to use it with Renoise mainly so I use the nanokontrol in cc mode, not any of the DAW modes.
The device is not able to do that. As far as I understand, a way to achieve this would be to switch midi channels. so assign on channel 1 faders 1-8. then press a button on the device to switch to bank/channel 2, then assign the same faders to track 9-16 and so on. Does that sound about right or is there a better way? I am mostly interested in the faders. but if it would also be possible to assign the rotary knobs again on another channel, that would be helpful as well.
So as the nanokontrol can’t do that with the standard software that comes with it, I would like to know how to achieve this with Bome midi translator.
If somebody can point me in the right direction it would be great.
