nanoKontrol2 or an FaderPort 8 to an QU16/SQ5

This is all new to me – very novice at this Midi world of programming. ,

So, wondering if anyone has map a nanoKontrol2 or an FaderPort 8 to an QU16/SQ5 to control fader levels.

Looking to map nanoKontrol2 and/or an FaderPort 8 CH 1 to 8 , to control faders on to QU16/SQ5 channel Ch 1, 2 , 3 , 7 , 8, 9, 11,13

Any help or direction would be helpful please .

Hi,

I don’t have a QU16 but based on the documentation the below project should handle the first 8 faders using a Korg NanoKontrol2 in Mackie MCU mode. If the FaderPort 8 also supports MCU mode, it should also work.

Since MCU mode only support 8 faders at a time (they are banked), it would require a bit more work to get them working on MIDI Channels 8-13. I think this may be able to work if you change the rules of the translator so that instead of a direct mapping of channel based on tt you changed it to the desired QU16 channel.
