Hi BOME… is there any firmware upgrade for the bomebox in the pipeline? Would we great to be able to use RTP internally.
I can send MTC through BomeNetwork to bomebox and it translates to the DIN out very well, but I cannot get it to pass through to the other LAN port to repeat the MTC signal. Would be great to have an Bome to RTP translator to be able to use even both LAN ports seperately. Thank you.
Hi, BomeBox does not currently support RTP MIDI internally although all network traffic should pass through it as a generic network router.
If you want to convert RTP MIDI to Bome Network on you BomeBox you might be able to use this adapter an connect the MIDI DIN side to the MIDI DIN on your BomeBox. I haven’t tested it though.
Alternately you could set up a computer with both RTP MIDI and Bome Network and then bridge the connections together.
This has nothing to do with RTP MIDI but the signals should pass through correctly as Bome Network MIDI if you have your MIDI routes properly set up on your BomeBox. MIDI Routes can be set up manually (without a project file loaded) or if you load a project file, it will override the manual MIDI routing setup.
