Only Midi In

I only see Midi In in the log window...nothing else despite quite the tinkering with the incoming message settings, default project midi Ins, and anything else i could work with.

If you see MIDI In but not Incoming and you have both checked, then your incoming trigger that you are setting in the translator does not match exactly the incoming MIDI message. So if you include your log file with MIDI IN Incomine, MIDI OUT and Outgoing, I should be able to look at it and help you further.

The other possibility is perhaps your translator or parent preset is only looking for MIDI on a different port that is set.

PS

Oh and I would need your project (.bmtp) file. Not the setting file (.bmts).

I have incoming set on raw but i had also tried every other type. On both of my midi devices (NovationLaunchpad, and the midi in Audiobox itwo). can i email u the bmtp file?

OK, I have your project file. The issue is you have not defined an incoming MIDI trigger for either of your devices. Without an incoming trigger, nothing will go out.

1) Go to the translator in question

2) Click on the MIDI ICON at the top so you see project information on right

3) Click Capture MIDI box on incoming

4) Press a button on your controller

5) Click the message you want to use (this will transfer to the MIDI In section

6) Activate the application you are sending the keystroke with your mouse.

It should now work. However you need to NOT have MT Pro focused to send a keystroke. It will send the keystroke to the currently active application and if an application is not focused, to your operating system.

My problem seems to arise when i capture midi…it recognizes my IN but does not display or recognize midi trigger. So yes ive done all that you described and there still isnt a incoming. Where can i send pictures?

You can post them here "as an answer’ or send them via email. Are you sure you have the proper devices set up as incoming? Do you see anything in the capture window?

I see it in incoming on the right

In outgoing on that translator, you have None. Your outgoing message is the one above (without an incoming trigger).

in outgoing i have physical keys. and yes i dont have an incoming trigger, that is the issue im facing. I set my Midi IN with capture midi…wich it captured, but there doesn’t seem to be an incoming trigger. Do you see what im saying?

Once you see the message you want, click on it and it will transfer to the incoming trigger. If you click on the gear icon you can turn off raw MIDI and see a better description of the what the incoming message is.

Ive tried every type of Midi incoming and it does not do the keystroke output

OK looking at the log, the translator is looking for note 3CH (60 decimal)

The key you are hitting on your keyboard is key 70H (112 Decimal)

You need to either hit a lower key on your keyboard (Middle C) to match the incoming trigger or change the incoming trigger to match the key you are sending (which is an E way at the top of most keyboards). In general an 88 keyboard probably doesn\'t go higher than 57H (87 decimal).

Maybe play with Octave down on your keyboard pressing C until it matches.
