PoE injector: should it have a ground pin?

I was just wondering whether using a PoE injector with a ground pin on the power plug is necessary/recommended? Or does it not matter?

Also, are some recommended over others? 48V seems like a no brainer of course. High amperage too for USB devices. Should i also be seeking one with a metal chassis to reduce noise? I may end up mounting this under a pedal board so i was thinking that may be a concern.

I would discuss with the POE manufacturer. In general, if it has a ground pin, it is there for a reason.

This is the one I use (not metal) but the form factor is not really for a pedal board. Yes, I find POE more reliable and secure than using USB power.
