Hello,
My recording equipment is quite old. To be more precise, I’m using Logic 5.5.1 on Windows XP and a Soundcraft DC 2000 mixing desk from the 1990s besides some old 24-track analog tape machines. The DC 2000 can send MMC commands to control transport and recording in Logic.
Because Logic on its own doesn’t send the required MMC tallies, this didn’t work very well until I came across the trial version of Bome Midi Translator Pro for Windows XP recently. Unfortunately, I still have a problem. Perhaps someone could offer me some specific help.
As I’ve now learnt, Logic 5.5.1 – when controlled via MMC – can only skip forward one bar at a time when pressing the FF or REW buttons. That’s not particularly convenient, of course.
If I were to send the relevant command via Bome Midi Translator continuously, over and over again, it should be possible for Logic to fast-forward or rewind continuously. Until a new command arrives. Right? A kind soul on the Logic forum had this idea.
Unfortunately, configuring the Transformer settings properly is far beyond my capabilities. Can anyone give me a hand?
Many thanks in advance.
