Reference picture for Bome routing?

i do simple routings with midi…

are there any reference pictures, that show the chain of the flow of midi and the relevant ports that are represented on the ‘midi router’

i have not quite grasped the difference between the
Bome midi translator virtual 1 in
from lets say a
Bome virtual port 2 —> bome midi translator 2 in

is the Bome virtual port 2 the out?? connecting to the in??

apologise for my noobness lol
i still get confused as to the left side of the ‘midi routing’ column, and the right side column

does the midi signal only flow left to right?? and never right to left when making the connections??

Bome Virtual Port 1 ->Bome MIDI Translator 1 Virtual Out

In the above case Bome Virtual Port 1 is an ‘auto alias’ for Bome MIDI Translator 1 Virtual Out. These aliases were created for backward compatibility for old versions of Bome MIDI Translator Pro. You should use one or the other but not both if you don’t want duplicate messages. Better still would be to use your own aliases.

You can learn more about aliases from this tutorial.

The left hand column is always In and the right column is out so yes, it is always left to right.

In means coming from somewhere into Bome MIDI Translator Pro and out means coming from Bome MIDI Translator Pro to some other location.

I hope this helps clarify things.
