Remap sysex to midi cc

Hi,
I would ask you If a can use bome midi translator pro to build software clone von hardware programmer and control it with modern midi controller.

I have a Roland d550, XV 5080, Korg ex 8000, Yamaha fs1r. I would like to build an Roland pg 1000 similar hardware programmer to controll and edit such instruments.

Can I do it with midi translator pro?

An other options is an hardware tool such Elektra one.
Elektra one has a database of user panels of a lot midi Instruments. Elektra one has a software translator tools to convert toutchOSC panel in Elektra one compatible panel, so I could have with it a lot of option without a lot of programming work.

Is there for midi translator pro any similar Options?

Hi and welcome to the Bome community!

Based on your title, you want to map a SysEx message to a MIDI CC. This is possible but keep in mind, that a CC message value can only contain 7 bits (or 14 for 14 bit CC). A SysEx message and contain a lot more data so if the bytes that you wanto to extract data from a SysEx message you are limited to the number of bytes allowed in the target message (1 or two bytes).

You would use a raw input pattern from the incoming SysEX message and then use the pattern variables to extract the bytes that you want to use. All input patterns have a fixed length.

This tutorial is an example of converting SysEx to CC message.
