Sequence of keystroke events

Hi,

I’m using an Akai APC mini to control Pangolin Quickshow queue’s and want to use it as a flash trigger so i don’t have to repress to deactivate the queue.

From my trial and error, using a keystroke emulation does not work if i want to trigger the flash mechanic and i need to use the key down and key up function for each button for it to work. however I need to be able to use both the big Q and small q distinguishable because I trigger each queue with a keyboard letter, both capital letter and not capitalized and i haven’t found a way to make a sequence that presses “Shift” right before the Q button presses since it has to be capital letter.

I have made a sequence with 2 translators that each trigger the shift down and the Q down on the midi that comes with pressing the midi-button down, and then Q up and shift up for the midi-button when its released with a small delay on the first Q down and the shift up.

How can i make this in just 2 translators with a key sequence instead of 4 translators with a delay?

Hi,

I don’t think you can do it in 2 translators. The example below shows how you can do it but it takes 6 translators

Translator 1.0 handles the incoming action when you press the button. It calls translator 1.2 and 1.4 (in rules) each with a delay parameter which is used by the called translator.

Likewise transltors 1.1 is when you release the button and calls translatosr 1.3 and 1.5.

You need Bome MIDI Translator Pro version 1.9.0 or later for this to work. Prior verions did not have the “Perform” action.
