Hi,
Is it possible to translate a MIDI message from my keyboard so that it turns the pages in Adobe Reader? I’m wanting to use one of my drumpads for this purpose.
Thanks in advance!

Hi and welcome to the Bome community!
Yes, the attached file should help.
First of all I create an alias for my controller as follows. You will need to point it to the controller that you are using.
You can learn more about aliases from this tutorial.
Then I create translators. In my case I’m using note-on note 12 MIDI channel 1 for page up and note-on note 13 MIDI channel 1 for page down. You may want to modify these incoming message for the MIDI messages your controller sends.
There are 3 translators
The first translator sends a page up with a 10ms delay.
The second translator sends a page down with a 10ms delay.
Both of these translator call a ‘Perform’ action with rules that triggers the third translator to focus on your Adobe reader application. If you are using a different version of the reader, your executable file (in the outgoing action) may be different.
The keystroke delay in the first 2 translators give the third translator time to focus the application before sending the keystroke.
Good luck!
