Trigger Mac shortcuts

Hi everyone,

how can I trigger my existing mac shortcuts or the ones I’ve created myself just with one MIDI Button?
When I send out physical keystrokes like Option(A) which start Ableton Live or Option(S) for Avid Sibelius I get no reaction. Why is that so and what can I do?

Greetings,
Owen

My goal is to start or activate running applications.

Hi,
This is possible. You would need to set the security settings in your Mac to include Bome MIDI Translator Pro for accessibility. Also the target application would need to be the focused application.
Some applications require some delay between keystrokes to catch up.

Thanks Steve! Bome is already activated in the accessibility settings.
How can I set a key on hold so that I can add another key to it?
I understand the idea of delay but the shortcuts have to be pressed simultaneously at the end.

Hi, here is an example. I think I wrote this on PC so you might need to change Control to Command etc.
