Trying to attach midi knob from akai mpd32 to mouse wheel Apple M1?

Hey there I cant seem to get the mouse wheel attached to my midi controller (Akai Mpd32). I followed the tutorial for this step by step with no luck. I am using the trial version. If i can get this to work I will buy full version. Any ideas? I am using an apple M1 chip mini

There is an example file with 3 types of relative encoders. You can try this and see if any of the options work with the way you have programmed your MPD32

Iā€™m not sure what type of encoders it has so maybe you can turn one an capture it in the log window.
