Trying to set velocity for keyboard note on

I have non-velocity keyboards (organ keyboards) and I want to set the velocity lower for a piano to get a better tone. I have several other translators that work fine with this setup, but I cannot seem to get this to work. Here is the translator:

Translator 0.6: Velocity
Options: swallow
Incoming: Note On on any channel set “rr” to ch. with any note and “ss” to note with any velocity and “tt” to velocity, on port Express 128: Port 1
Outgoing: Note On on ch.“rr” with note:72 (0x48) and velocity:30 (0x1E), to port Express 128: Port 1

I changed the script to play C5 for any note, but as you can see from the results, I’m getting the same notes and velocity as the input.

I am obviously missing something here…

Hi, the window you are viewing is the capture window for incoming MIDI messages. If you want to see the outgoing velocity, open the log window and check the MIDI OUT box.
