When I power on my dj controller and put it into MIDI mode for use, this little light comes on and I can’t find how to turn it off.
I used a timer to send a qq=0 velocity value to every channel and every note. Nothing did it.
I wonder if there is a special type of MIDI message it would listen to.

What is the make and model of the controller? Not all controllers have the ability to manipulate all LED’s remotely.

It’s my Traktor Kontrol S3 dj controller.
I would love to get the decks lights changed too, but you’re probably right, that it can’t be changed.

OK, I cannot find anything regarding MIDI control of that device. Perhaps it would be better to ask Native Instruments.

The answer was no. Those lights can’t be changed.
They showed me a couple mapping pages; didn’t know those existed:

Yes, I figured about the lights. Mapping pages look like they may come in helpful some time.
