Upon MT launch I get error message "invalid MIDI message"

Upon MT launch I get error message "invalid MIDI message". This happened after I updated to v 1.84. Could that be related? I haven't edited the project code.

Is there a way to track this down? I have more than 450 presets and lots of translators in each. I suppose I could do divide and conquer, but even that will take a while. Any ideas?

Thanks,

Gabriel

Disable use the 1/2 method. Disable 1/2 of them and if the problem goes away, renable 1/2 of the disabled ones and then so forth. Sorry without any more descriptive errors, I’m not sure if there are any more shorter methods than this. I’m happy to look at the project file.

Hi Steve,

Divide and conquer worked. About halfway through my code I found an unused (not activated) preset with a translator that I meant to use a timer, but I had entered the name of the timer as if it was a MIDI cc message. Of course MT didn’t like it. I guess v1.84 checks for this kind of error and reports it. I guess previous versions didn’t.

Anyway, I’m off and running.

Thanks,

Gabriel

oops… attached the jpg file twice. I don’t see a way to remove the 2nd.
