my studio gear is still Win7. tested the trial version on a separate win7 system (not the studio gear for fear of mucking the version i am using) and it seemed to work.
think i will be okay?

I don’t beleive we test our new releases against old operating systems. I think that if a new release doesn’t work, then you can always go back an install a prior release that did work, although the functionality of the prior release may not match that of the newer release.

Every version has a defined set of operating system versions which we support. You can check the version archive here:

As you can see in the archive, version 1.9.2 is not supported on Windows 7 anymore, but v1.9.1 is. We cannot guarantee that 1.9.2 still works on Windows 7 (but we’re also not aware of anything in particular that requires Windows 10).
