Hi am Favour, I have a DX7 YAMAHA KEYBOARD second generation I Suppose, doesn’t have tones or sounds on it. please could you guide me on how I could get this Keyboard working

Maybe you need to just start by downloading and loading the voice library from the Yamaha web site. I suspect that the voices from the previous owner were erase.
I’m afraid I don’t have a DX7 to help your further but maybe someone else on the board does.

You should be able to use Bome SendSX to do this if you are on Windows. If you are on Mac, you might need to use sendMIDI which is open source
Here is the Windows guidance.
I’m not really familiar with how the DX7 handles dump and restore of SysEX. It is possible that it needs to be prepared for receiving prior to sending your dump. Also it is possible that it does not handles split SysEX message so turn on throttling and turn off split in both directions as shown below.
