Hey
I have a problem with Daslight 4 and 2 Akai APC Minis. When I open the file (attached) and then start Daslight 4 and select BMT as MIDI input/output and want to assign a key, an Akai APC Mini crashes. Can you please help me, I’m really desperate.
I would be happy to receive an answer!
You can learn more about aliases from this tutorial.
I then removed a lot of your MIDI inputs and outputs for each preset as you were taking everything from multiple ports and sending it out to multiple ports thereby creating a lot of MIDI loops which is probably made your controllers crash.
Many thanks for your help. In Daslight 4, the APC Mini still crashes, and in Daslight I can’t assign the colors of the buttons. is it due to a mistake on my part
Could you show me your DasLight MIDI configuration?
The only thing I would know to crash the APC-MINI would be a slew of unsupported MIDI messages. The only time I’ve seen it before is when fader messages are echoed back to the device. With that said, maybe two applications are trying to access the same MIDI port. When you get a APC MINI crash, what are the symptoms. Does it simply just stop working? Are there any LED’s lit? Are there any system messages indicating a crash?
It Crashes after 30sec. wen i open Daslight and select BMT as Midi in & Out, after that the APC don´t give a Feedback no LED no messages it still crashes. but i can see the APC in the windows device manager.
Daslight needs to send data back to the LED’s. Are you seeing any incoming MIDI messages from Daslight when you look at the log window? Maybe another MIDI application is holding that port open not allowing Daslight to open the port.

Ah, I see.
For the first APC-MINI have Daslight send to MIDI CH 1 instead of MIDI CH 6 for reverse translation for matrix LEDs and leave at CH1 for side and bottom LEDs.
For the second APC-MINI have Daslight send to MIDI CH 2 instead of MIDI CH 6 for reverse translation for matrix LEDs and leave at CH1 for side and bottom LEDs.
The project file I provided will translate it to MIDI CH 6 for Matrix LEDs and leave it on MIDI CH1 for the side and bottom LEDs.
MIDI CH 6 (provided by the project file, will give you the Brightest LEDs.
